Sunday at the Beach

Despite the cold, mostly gray weather this past Sunday, I felt like visiting the beach.  My sweetheart indulged me, and we headed out from Astoria to Ecola State Park on the Oregon Coast.  We both shot lots of photos, he with his Sony DSLR, and me with the little digital Olympus he gave me a couple of years ago.  It was cold and blustery out, but I had a lot of fun, and quickly forgot about the weather once I started playing.  Here's a bit of what I saw and captured:

Thank you. I love being able to visit it so easily. It's much farther from Bend - which is where you are now, right?

BTW..loved your blog about the trip to the North Pole. Put a smile on my face last night.

Yes, Bend. I still get to the beach a few times a year. Where are you? Thanks for the comments on the blog post. It's made a lot of people laugh, but I had a lot of inspiration. :)

I'm in Portland. I came across your blog, because Carla Asplund posted a link on Facebook. Not sure if you know her in real life, or if she just happened upon your blog, but I could swear I've seen you before, and I thought Carla was the link.

I'm glad to hear you were inspired by the comments on your earlier post! Nice.

Aha! I wondered if that was the connection. I've known Carla since the 7th grade. She is one of my favorite people on earth. :) How do you know her? Maybe you and I saw each other at her baby shower two falls ago?

No, I meant I was inspired by the children. No better inspiration...

"Inspired by the children" Yes, I understand that! Makes more sense.

I know Carla, because her husband coaches my daughter in Soccer. She is just so funny, warm and upbeat. I haven't spent a lot of personal time with her, but we are connected through Facebook, too, so maybe that is why I recognize you?? *shrug* It doesn't matter. I'm just happy to have run across your blog, because I love your writing!
